Halaxy's automatic fee updates remove admin and ensure you don't miss out on potential rebates

From 1 March 2025, there will be a number of changes to some Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS) items. For the full list of updates to the Medicare Benefits Schedule – visit www.mbsonline.gov.au or contact Medicare directly.
Halaxy’s preset fees automatically update rebate amounts for item numbers that you use whenever there are changes to the MBS and other fee schedules, so you never need to look up the schedules and manually update them yourself. This removes admin and errors, and ensures you don’t miss out on potential rebates, giving you more time to focus on treating patients.
We have already updated Halaxy’s Global Fee Database to reflect the 1 March changes to the MBS and you can update them in your Halaxy software now.
By updating your preset fees now, Halaxy ensures all your invoices dated from 1 March automatically reflect the new Medicare pricing, without affecting your current fees.
How to update your preset fees
To automatically update your preset fees before 1 March, all you need to do is:
- Go to Finances > Fees and click Update Fees in the top-right corner of the page.
- A pop-up appears with a list of the preset fees you have already imported, showing the date they were last updated in the Halaxy database and showing if there are new updated MBS fee and rebate amounts available.
- Click the Update button for the fee. In the pop-up, select which item numbers to update, and make any changes to your fees that you want, and then click Save.
