Seeing your patients online is only one of the many challenges of running a virtual practice, but there’s no need to worry, Halaxy has been helping thousands of practitioners manage their practices online for years now - and we continue to release new features to help you manage your telehealth appointments and more, each and every week.
Today you'll learn how to set a consultation type (including online and now phone consultations) for specific days and times of the week - this will save you a lot of time when creating new telehealth appointments!
Because of social distancing, you're also probably sharing more files online - so we made improvements to how you can attach files in Halaxy. The great news is that you can now add files to any emails sent via Halaxy.
These are features that seem small but have a huge positive impact in times of the COVID-19 outbreak, so keep reading to learn how to make the most out of them at your practice.
1. Phone consultation
In case you missed it, we've added the ability to set your consultation type to online consultations and physical (in clinic) a couple of weeks ago.
Now you also have the option to set your consultation type to phone consultation and home visit, if you like.

2. Set a default location based on your consultation type
You now also have the option to set a default consultation type on certain days and/or times of the week.
This will automatically set the location of the appointment to online consultation, phone consultation, home visit or in-clinic appointment on all appointments made during those times, including online bookings.
To set a default location and consultation type:
1. Click Personal > Locations.
2. To edit your schedule, click the pencil icon next to Add Another Schedule; or to add a new schedule click on Add Another Schedule.
3. Select the consultation type you'd like to apply to that location, day and time of the week - click Save.
3. Reminders for online and phone consultations
In case you missed it, we've added the ability to set specific reminders for video consultations a couple of weeks ago.
Now you also have the option to set reminders for your phone consultations!

Attach and manage files with Halaxy:
Add files to your emails sent via Halaxy
The same way you attach files to your emails sent via Outlook or Google, you can now add files to patient and appointment list emails, invoice emails, as well as to clinical notes and intake form emails, and more.
Whenever you see the Add File button, you can add files to your emails instantly.
All the files you add to emails are saved in Halaxy and can be uploaded or re-uploaded to emails - making it easier to share files with your patients.
