New Halaxy feature: Introducing express appointments

With Halaxy’s new express appointments feature your patients can make a booking with your practice and have an online consultation with a practitioner as soon as they are available.  

After a patient makes an express appointment with your practice, they are added to your fully customisable virtual waiting room. To start an express appointment with a patient, all you need to do is:

• Go to Schedule > Express Appointments to view your virtual waiting room
• Select a patient with the status waiting
• Click Pick Up and when you are ready to begin, click Start Consultation

How Express Appointments Benefit You

Express appointments is an extremely powerful feature that you can use in a number of ways, including:

✅ Offering short consultations or services such as repeat prescriptions, medical certificates, referral requests, and more;

✅ Helping you manage patient demand – i.e. as a waitlist for your practice or for complex services you offer, e.g. ADHD assessments; and

✅ Administrators and practitioners can assign patients to other practitioners in your group, helping to manage demand for specific practitioners and streamline your booking flow.

With Halaxy it’s easy for any fee or appointment type to be turned into an express appointment. This gives you the flexibility to customise the settings of your express appointments to the needs of your practice, including pricing, practitioner or location specifications, assigned intake forms, assigned surveys, and more.
