Set automated notifications for when a funding period is set to expire in Halaxy

Halaxy makes it easy to manage and monitor NDIS funding period budget utilisation and expiry, letting you see funding period information directly from relevant appointments, invoices, and funding pages, at any time.

You can use Halaxy reports to set up automated notifications that alert you when a funding period is close to expiry or when its allocated funds are close to being exhausted. This includes setting up in-app notifications based on:

  • A dollar amount: such as $100 left out of $1,000 budget of an NDIS Plan;
  • Expiry date: for example tomorrow, this week, next month, etc. based on the supports your participants receive; and
  • The number of appointments that are left: for example 1 appointment remaining as part of the NDIS Plan during the Funding Period.

Automated funding period expiry notifications benefit you in a number of ways, including:

Streamlining NDIS participant management

Knowing when a funding period is about to expire / when a funding period’s budget is close to being exhausted helps streamline budget management and planning, and ensures that participants don’t overspend their NDIS budget.

Ensuring continuity of care

Ensuring participants always have enough budget during the relevant funding period means they don’t miss out on treatment due to insufficient funds, which helps ensure continuity of care for participants across the life of their NDIS Plan.

You can also run a referral report or contact report to see which participants have funding periods that are close to ending. You can then run a campaign to notify participants or professional contacts of an expiring funding period.
