What's New in Halaxy: October 2025

Welcome to the October edition of our What’s New newsletter! Read on to discover the most popular feature releases from the last month and what we’re working on to make healthcare better.

Here are the top features and updates we’ve released in the last month.

Clinical Sidebar

Halaxy's clinical sidebar gives you a view of all of your patient’s key information in the one place, removing the need to navigate to different pages to get the information you need  before, during, and after a consultation.

It’s quick and easy to customise your clinical sidebar to display the clinical information you need. All you need to do is choose which tabs you want to include in your clinical sidebar, including patient details, appointment history, favourites, and much, much more.

Other improvements

Discover some of the other improvements we rolled out in the last month.

Passkeys: Passkeys are a quick and secure way to log in to your Halaxy account without relying on traditional passwords. You can generate passkeys linked to your device, such as your phone, tablet or computer. Learn more.

Admin notes for organisations: You can add admin notes to organisation profiles to record important information for internal use. This makes it easy to log any contact with organisations that should be noted, such as inquiries and discussions. Learn more.

Patient form enhancements: With our form links feature, you have more ways to quickly and easily create shareable links for any of your patient forms, including intake forms, informed consent forms, and more. We’ve added new ways to share patient forms in Halaxy, including:

  • In QR code format, which can be downloaded as an image file, making it easy to provide access to any patient form you’ve created in Halaxy; and
  • Patient forms can be added to your Halaxy directory profiles.

Halaxy API

The Halaxy API extends the benefits of Halaxy even further, unlocking new ways for you to automate and customise your Halaxy software to your practice.

API webhooks: With our API webhooks, you can quickly and easily configure any software you connect to the Halaxy API to receive data retrieval updates automatically. API webhooks unlock a galaxy of new automations and remove the need to continuously call the Halaxy API, so the data you request is retrieved in real-time.

New API endpoints: In addition to retrieving, creating and updating data for various resources via the Halaxy API, you can now:

  • Create Appointment: Add a new appointment for a patient with a specific practitioner and location. After you create an appointment, you can update it with a fee, and Halaxy will automatically generate the invoice for you;
  • Update Appointment: Edit details in an existing appointment; and
  • Get and List Fees: Retrieve fee data individually or as a list.
