What's New in Halaxy: June 2025

Welcome to the June edition of our What’s New newsletter! Read on to discover the most popular feature releases from the last month, what we’re working on to make healthcare better, and other important updates that benefit you.

Here are the top features and updates we’ve released in the last month.

Patient Forms enhancements

We’re excited to announce a range of new features and enhancements to Halaxy patient forms, including:

  • Request time zone information from your patients as part of any patient form, which automatically updates in their patient profile, so that even if you and your patient are in different time zones, appointments are shown in your time zone in your calendar and reminders are automatically sent in their time zone.
  • Add co-signing to any patient form that is sent in Halaxy.
  • Quickly reorder how the sections of a patient form are displayed to your patients with the new Re-order Sections tab, to match your practice’s priorities.
  • And much, much more.

Our enhanced patient form builder makes it easier than ever before to request and record personal and health information from patients at any stage of their clinical relationship with you.

Patient forms are fully customisable and can be used for anything from intake and consent to service agreements, clinical tools, and even admin updates like payment or claim details.

We’ll share more about these enhancements and the ways practitioners can best use patient forms in their practice in the weeks ahead.

🏗️ Other improvements

Discover some of the other improvements we rolled out in the last month.

Save information from incomplete bookings: You can now save patient information from incomplete bookings in Halaxy, so you can follow up with them later. This feature ensures you don't lose touch with people seeking care, and gives you a list of potential patients when you’re open to taking on more patients.

Clinical order improvements: When you add a pathology or clinical imaging order to your Favourites list, you can now give it a unique name, making it easy for you to identify and manage your list of favourite orders in Halaxy. Read our blog to discover more clinical order improvements that benefit you.

Custom drugs bulk import: You can now create a list of custom drugs, including drugs with multiple ingredients, and upload them directly into your Halaxy software, to streamline your prescribing.

Saved prescriptions: You can now save your most frequently issued prescriptions, which may include one or multiple drugs, to quickly recreate them for patients.

Sonic Labs results notifications: You now get a notification whenever you receive a new order result in your practice. Clicking on the notification takes you directly to the linked order result for you to review and manage.

🌟 NDIS funding periods update

How Halaxy helps you manage the complexity of the NDIS.

With the introduction of NDIS funding periods, an NDIS participant’s budget is now released in stages based on the supports required, rather than available all at once.

Halaxy helps you manage the new NDIS funding requirements with referrals and referral types:

  • Halaxy referrals allow you to easily create and track funding periods and budgets. Learn more.
  • Halaxy referral types make it easy to manage referrals by attaching fees to a referral type, which automatically adds the appropriate referral to an appointment based on the linked fee. Learn more.

📢 Other updates and news

Explore important updates for the Halaxy community.

As a result of updates from Gmail, Outlook, and other email providers, there is an increase in email deliverability issues for software providers, including Halaxy.

If you do have issues with emails not being delivered, we recommend that you update your email sender preferences in Halaxy to:

  • Type to Send From Halaxy <noreply@halaxy.com>
  • Reply-to email address to your preferred email address

If you own your own domain, make sure to get it verified and update the email settings to send from your domain email address.
