What's New in Halaxy: July 2025

Welcome to the July edition of our What’s New newsletter! Read on to discover the most popular feature releases from the last month, what we’re working on to make healthcare better, and some of the small features that we are continually adding to Halaxy that have a big impact for your practice and patients.
🔔 Updates to Halaxy’s Global Fee Database
Halaxy's preset fees remove administration and errors, and ensure you don’t miss out on rebates and that rebates are paid as quickly as possible.
In the last month, a number of funding bodies have made changes to their schedules, including:
- Medicare and the MBS
- NDIS
- TAC Vic
- Worksafe Victoria
- ReturnToWorkSA
- DVA
- Open Arms
We have already updated Halaxy’s Global Fee Database to reflect these pricing changes for you, which removes the need to look up the fee schedules and manually update them yourself.
All you need to do is click “Update Fees” and Halaxy automatically manages everything for you, making sure you get paid the full rebate every time. As more fee schedules are released we continuously update our Global Fee Database.

Halaxy API
Built on the FHIR technical standard, which is the gold standard in healthcare that makes it easy for healthcare systems to quickly and securely share data, the Halaxy API extends the benefits of Halaxy even further, unlocking new ways for you to automate and customise your Halaxy software.
With the Halaxy API, you or a developer can connect your Halaxy with other software used in your practice to send and retrieve practice data directly from your Halaxy account, without using a third-party integration.

💡 Discover small features that have a big impact
We continually add small features to your Halaxy that have a big impact and make running your practice easy, remove your admin, and save you time. Here are just a few we’ve introduced in the last few months:
New invoice preferences: Halaxy makes it easy to fully customise the information on your invoices to meet biller requirements. When you display the appointment time on an invoice, you can choose to show or hide the time zone of the appointment, and much more. Learn more.
Custom drugs bulk import: You can create a list of custom drugs, including drugs with multiple ingredients, and upload them directly into your Halaxy software, to streamline your prescribing. Learn more.
Incomplete booking management: You can save patient information from incomplete bookings in Halaxy, so you can follow up with them later. This ensures you don't lose touch with people seeking care, and gives you a list of potential patients when you’re open to taking on more patients. Learn more.
Saved prescriptions: You can save your most frequently issued prescriptions, which may include one or multiple drugs, to quickly recreate them for patients. Learn more.
Clinical order improvements: When you add a pathology or clinical imaging order to your favourites, you can now give it a unique name, making it easy for you to identify and manage your list of favorite orders in Halaxy. Learn more.
Sonic Labs results notifications: You get a notification whenever you receive a new order result in your practice. Clicking on the notification takes you directly to the linked order result for you to review and manage. Learn more.
Add comments and addendums to clinical records: You can quickly add additional clinical context and commentary to all locked clinical notes, clinical orders, and prescriptions. This makes it easy to add additional information or update a previous comment, if needed. Learn more.
VALD integration: VALD gives health practitioners advanced tools to assess, monitor, and improve patient outcomes through data-driven insights. With Halaxy’s VALD integration, patient details can be synced from your Halaxy account into your VALD account, which removes manual data entry and ensures your data is always up to date and accurate.
