Patient context available in AI Scribe
Patient context for AI Scribe, unique to Halaxy.
Create richer consult notes and remove the need to edit or add patient context after the consult, saving you time and removing administration.
When using AI Scribe for a consult, you can automatically include information from the patient’s records to provide additional context before or during your consult. You can include basic patient details, allergies, diagnoses, immunisations, prescriptions, clinical orders and answers from clinical tools - any information you’ve ever captured. This saves hours of manual work while ensuring your clinical notes are complete, consistent and accurate.
Customers using AI Scribe, fully built into Halaxy, find their workflow even simpler. There is no more copying and pasting patient notes, prescription details, allergy information or other data into third party tools and back again. Everything stays safe and secure, all in the one platform.

Additional pre-appointment reminders
You now have more flexibility with your pre-appointment reminders, helping every appointment run smoothly and eliminating no-shows.
- You can create multiple pre-appointment reminders for patients. Send as many reminders as needed via SMS or email or a combination of both.
- Set pre-appointment reminders in hours, not just days. For example, send a 2 hour reminder to a patient about their appointment, then a 1 hour reminder with the front door code, ensuring they arrive on time and can check in smoothly. This gives you more flexibility in your patient workflows.
- Remember, reminders can be set at the group level or at the individual level, giving you greater flexibility to suit your practice setup and patients.

Medicare Benefits Schedule changes
Updates to Halaxy’s Global Fee Database, 1 March 2026
MBS changes are coming next week, but there is no need to panic or scramble. We’ve got you covered!
Halaxy automatically manages all MBS changes for you, so you never need to manually update item numbers or calculate new fees. We have done the research, completed the configuration, and already updated your system in Halaxy's Global Fee Database to reflect the changes effective 1 March 2026, ensuring you always receive the full rebate. It's something only we do.
If you are using Halaxy’s preset fees, all you need to do is click Update Fees. Invoices dated from 1 March will automatically reflect the new Medicare pricing, while your existing fees remain unchanged.
New Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) changes come into effect from 1 March 2026. There are a number of key updates for practitioners to be aware of, including:
- New Telehealth Support Items: Reinstatement of Medicare rebates for some GP and nurse practitioner services ceased in 2022.
- Diagnostic Imaging Updates: Nurse practitioners and midwives can now bill for complex gynaecological ultrasounds, and 3D tomosynthesis has been added to breast imaging.
- Pathology: Administrative updates to drug names and PEI items now reference residential aged care facilities.
