What's New in Halaxy: May 2025

Welcome to the May edition of our What’s New newsletter! Read on to discover the most popular feature releases from the last month, what we’re working on to make healthcare better, and other important updates that benefit you.

Here are the top features and updates that we recently released.

Halaxy Follow-Ups

Halaxy’s new Follow-Up feature helps to automate and streamline your patient communications, making it easy for you to follow up with your patients to ensure they get the care they need.

With Halaxy Follow-Ups you can further automate your patient communications for anything such as: follow up appointments, prescription repeats, recall messages, post-procedure checks, and much more. This saves you time with patient management, removes your admin, and makes patients feel valued.

Halaxy White Label

Halaxy White Label is a new and exciting feature that lets you customise your public-facing pages to match your practice’s visual branding – helping to create a seamless experience for your patients when they interact with your practice in Halaxy.

With Halaxy White Label you can easily customise your public-facing pages to your practice’s unique visual branding, to include your logo and colour schemes.

🏗️ Other improvements

Discover some of the other improvements we rolled out in the last month.

New patient profile actions menu: We’ve streamlined the action icons into one easy-to-use dropdown actions menu! Open any patient profile in Halaxy and click the Actions button to: view tasks, add follow-up, view message history, and more.

Add comments and addendums to clinical records: You can now quickly add additional clinical context and commentary to all locked clinical notes, clinical orders, and prescriptions. This makes it easy to add additional information or correct a previous comment, if needed. Only practitioners and administrators with access to a note, order, or prescription can add a comment, and only the author of a comment can edit or delete their comment.

Clinical order improvements: When you add a pathology or clinical imaging order to your favorites, you can now give it a unique name, making it easy for you to identify and manage your list of favorite orders in Halaxy. Read our blog to discover more clinical order improvements that benefit you.

Custom drug improvements: We’ve made a number of enhancements to custom drugs, including:

  • Custom active ingredients: When you add a custom drug in Halaxy, you can now add your own custom active ingredients, making it easy to meet your practice’s prescription needs.
  • Streamlined custom drug creation: When creating a prescription, select custom, click Create New Custom Drug, and in the pop-up, enter the details of the custom drug you want to prescribe. You will now be able to add your new custom drug to your prescription, which saves you time and streamlines your prescribing process.

2FA for patients: We have made it mandatory for Halaxy patient portal users to enable at least two 2FA methods when accessing their account. 2FA adds an extra layer of security to your patients’ Halaxy accounts and helps solve potential issues associated with compromised passwords. Your patients can use SMS, email, or Google Authenticator as their 2FA verification methods.

New invoice preferences: With Halaxy you can fully customise the information you display on your invoices to meet the biller’s requirements. When you display the appointment time on an invoice, you can now choose to show or hide the time zone of the appointment, and much more. Discover more ways you can customise your invoices in Halaxy.
