🔥 Most popular features
Here are the top features and updates that we recently released.
Online booking enhancements
We’ve expanded Halaxy’s online booking search functionality:
- When a patient makes a booking with your practice from the practice profile or the practitioner profile, they can now search for the next available appointment – up to 3 months into the future.
- Patients can see the appointment availability of all practitioners in your group (for groups of up to 10 bookable practitioners), when making an online booking from your practice profile.
Clinical order improvements
We’ve added new features that simplify your clinical order workflow and remove your administration, including:
- Multiple clinical orders: When creating an order in Halaxy, you can easily request multiple pathology or clinical imaging order tests together. Learn more.
- Saved tests and orders: You can now save your most frequently ordered tests and entire clinical orders for repeat use. This simplifies your clinical order workflow by saving your most frequently used orders for quick and easy access. Learn more.
🏗️ Other improvements
Discover some of the other improvements we rolled out in the last month.
Custom name / number registration process: We've updated and streamlined the custom number and custom name registration process in Halaxy. Using a custom name and / or number instantly lets your patients know that any message is from you in their phone, which can help increase open rates of SMS campaigns and reminders.
NDIS invoice template update: We've updated our NDIS Plan Managed invoice templates to include "bill to" (for one or more patients) and "care of" fields. This update helps you meet Plan Managed invoice requirements and ensures you promptly receive payment. Learn more.
Custom booking links: You can now create custom online booking links for specific fees, appointment types, practitioners, and locations, and embed them directly onto your practice website or include them as a link in any communications. Learn more.
VALD integration: With Halaxy’s VALD integration, patient details can be synced from your Halaxy account into your VALD account, which removes manual data entry and ensures your data is always up to date and accurate. Learn more.
Address autocomplete update: Address autocomplete is now disabled by default. To enable address autocomplete for your practice, all you need to do is go to Settings > General > Group Settings, click edit, and enable Address Autocomplete.
New e-script sending options: Halaxy allows medical practitioners and providers to quickly send e-scripts directly to a patient (or a patient's nominated recipient), and now directly to a pharmacy, via SMS or email.

📢 Other Halaxy news
A look at some of the other projects and updates that benefit you.
ISO certification
We are pleased announce an important milestone for Halaxy: Since the start of 2025 we have been formally certified according to ISO 27001, which is the leading standard for managing information security! We’ll share more about what ISO certification means to us, to our practitioners, and to patients in the coming weeks and months.
Two Factor Authentication (2FA) update
We have made it mandatory for Halaxy patient portal users to enable at least two 2FA methods when accessing their account. 2FA adds an extra layer of security to your patients’ Halaxy accounts and helps solve common issues associated with compromised passwords. Your patients can use SMS, email, or Google Authenticator as their 2FA verification methods.
Upcoming feature releases
The Halaxy team has been been working hard on releasing new features that benefit you, including our Halaxy API and white labelling feature which will unlock a new galaxy of customisation options for you and your patients.
