Should you use SMS reminders or email reminders?

SMS reminders have become the default reminder option for practitioners, with 4 out of every 5 appointments in Halaxy using an SMS reminder, rather than an email reminder.

SMS reminders are sent directly to your patients, so they can’t get lost in cluttered email or spam folders, and patient responses to SMS reminders are automatically synced to your Halaxy calendar, which is not available with email reminders.

How SMS reminders benefit your practice

Thousands of practices use Halaxy SMS reminders every day to:

Keep track of attendance

Two-way SMS reminders let you quickly see which patients have confirmed or declined an appointment, as patient responses are automatically updated in your Halaxy Calendar and are free. Two-way SMS reminders are not available with email reminders.

Reduce no shows

Halaxy's SMS reminders have a 98% open rate, giving you confidence that whatever reminder you send to patients is opened. When coupled with Halaxy auto payments, SMS reminders can reduce no-shows to as little as 1%.

Improve patient care

SMS reminders help patients better keep track of their appointments, and ensure continuity of care for patients.
