The Australian Government recently released research looking into the long-term benefits of digital technology in healthcare, including telehealth, electronic health records, and artificial intelligence.
According to the research, electronic health records “can save labour by reducing the time that [practitioners] need to spend asking their patients about their medical history” and manually requesting other health information. This research confirmed the benefits for practitioners, including enabling “faster communication” and “less waste and duplication”.
