Good news! Many Medicare rebates increase by 2.4% from 1 July

Good news! Medicare rebates paid to you and your patients increase by 2.4% from 1 July 2025, and we have you covered.

We’ve already updated Halaxy’s Global Fee Database to reflect the MBS changes for 1 July, so you manage the rebate increases straight away without having to type in the new rebate on each and every fee and each and every invoice.

All you need to do is click “Update Fees” and Halaxy automatically manages everything for you – putting you in control and making sure you get paid the full rebate every time. By updating your preset fees now, all your invoices dated from 1 July 2025 automatically reflect the new Medicare pricing, without affecting your current fees.

How to update your preset fees

To automatically update your preset fees before 1 July, all you need to do is:

• Go to Finances > Fees and click Update Fees in the top-right corner of the page.
• A pop-up appears with a list of the preset fees you have already imported, showing which fees have a new updated MBS fee and rebate amounts available.
• You can also take the opportunity to increase or change your own fees from 1 July, when you’re approving the increased rebate.  
• Click Save for the rebates and any fee changes to be applied from 1 July.
