Everything we do and every decision we make is so we can offer you the absolute best health platform to manage your practice and patients, and make health better for everyone everywhere.

We've been working hard to make sure switching to Halaxy is smooth and seamless.

We're here to help and have prepared FAQs specifically to address any queries you might have about HealthKit becoming Halaxy.

1. Why is HealthKit becoming Halaxy?
You probably know by now that HealthKit is more than a “Health” “Kit” – we are more than practice management software, more than a directory and more than a personal health record.

Our platform and mission are much bigger than that: we help practitioners and patients navigate the complex galaxy that is healthcare, and we need a name that reflects this, we also need a name that helps us stand out in a complex market. So after 6 years and more than forty thousand practitioners in over 130 countries, HealthKit is becoming Halaxy.

2. What does Halaxy mean?
Halaxy means health galaxy and that’s exactly how we see the healthcare system: a complex galaxy, with different moving parts that are often disconnected, for you and your patients/clients.

This is what Halaxy solves. Halaxy exists to connect everything in the health system into the one platform, helping practitioners like you navigate the health system and make healthcare better for everyone, everywhere.

3. Has HealthKit been bought out by someone else?
No.  HealthKit and Halaxy are the same product and share the same database, so you can access all your patient data in Halaxy (just as you do in HealthKit).

Everything that you love about HealthKit remains the same - same workflow, service, price, and people behind it: our teams in Melbourne, Cork and soon in other locations.

4. What’s changing in HealthKit? Is the product still the same?
HealthKit is rebranding to become Halaxy, so we're changing our name to Halaxy as well as our logo and colours to reflect our new name, our brand, colours, and the workflow remains the same as in HealthKit but Halaxy has a more modern design.

HealthKit and Halaxy are the same product and share the same database, so you can access all your patient data in Halaxy (just as you do in HealthKit).

Based on your feedback, the only thing we’ve changed in the Halaxy workflow is moving the navigation menu from the top to the left, which means we have more space to show you all the features you need quickly and easily - and we can add new features even faster than we do already.

5. Is Halaxy free?
Yes, just like HealthKit, Halaxy’s core software is free. So all the essential features you need to run your practice are free - no matter your size or the number of practitioners in your practice.

Halaxy's free core software includes:

• Smart calendar - ideal for sole, group and multidisciplinary practices.

• Full clinical invoicing for any funding body, such as Medicare, work compensation schemes and any third party.

• Patient records - from case notes and test results to clinical tools and referrals, as well as prescriptions and clinical dashboards to manage your patients’ progress.

• Directory profile and online bookings - create your practitioner and practice profiles in Halaxy’s searchable directory and on your website.

• Reports - financial (income, expenses, P&L, and more), demographic, practice and clinical reports.

You can also turbocharge your practice with Halaxy's add-on products paid with Halaxy credits (except payments processing). The usual cost per credit is $0.22, but if you top up in bulk you can pay as little as $0.15.

6. Why is HealthKit updating its design?
We saw the rebranding project as an opportunity for us to improve your HealthKit/Halaxy and make it even better. It’s something that many people asked for so, we kept all the features you love in HealthKit as well as the same workflow and updated the design look and feel. Halaxy’s design is a bit more modern and cleaner, to make it even easier for you to manage your practice and make the most out of the platform.
